History of All Holden Day

The FB-EK Holden Car Club decided to hold an annual car show, for Early Holden’s, in 2010 as there was no event that catered for our cars. As the club wish this to be a fun day, it was decided that no trophies would be awarded.

On 24th January we hosted the Early Holden Day at Wigley Reserve at Glenelg. We invited all the early model Holden car clubs and about 120 cars turned up, with a number of sponsors having trade stands. The club runs the BBQ and drinks sales as a fund raiser.

After a very successful event and a lot of discussion within the club, it was decided to rename and invite all Holden cars so the ALL Holden Day event was born in 2011. The club took the steps to register the name All Holden Day to ensure we would be able to build on the success of each year.

 

We have now run 13 All Holden Days and each being bigger and better than the previous year, both in attendance from spectators and entrants but also in the sponsors participation.

Many of the Holden car clubs now have this as an annual event in their calendars.
